Failed Again?

The elephant was still looking him in the eye. Initially, it seemed McSmith’s attempts would not do much or would probably provoke the elephant more. But his hat doffing attitude and the efforts did bear a favorable result! The elephant that once seemed insurmountable had cowed down before the dominance of McSmith. He began to step aside and gradually he was out of sight. They finally made it! But was the elephant really gone or something was still waiting for him?
