WashijaMeeting Rachael
Cathy and Kayla went inside to meet Rachael, who was super excited about this makeover episode. She had already decided which artist she is going to bring on the show for Cathy’s makeup but she refused to reveal it until they start filming. She told the duo to relax and get ready for the show, they will start filming in 15.
Nervous
Cathy was happy Kayla pulled all these strings for her, but now that she had a moment to herself, she realized she is nervous about this. What if they don’t do a good job? She has a granddaughter waiting back at home, what if she doesn’t recognize her after this makeover? All of these thoughts in her head were giving her a migraine. But she knew she can’t back down now.
Not A Fan
If the hairstyle that Cathy is carrying for the past two decades didn’t speak for itself, Cathy was not a big fan of change. And that is her major concern right now, she didn’t want to change too much of too many things. Kayla, who could sense her mother getting slightly uncomfortable and anxious, decided its better if Cathy got a chance to speak with the stylist herself.
Kyan Douglas
Cathy was happy to find out that her stylist is none other than Kyan Douglas! Kyan is known for his magical makeovers and Cathy was a little relieved to know she is in good hands. Kyan mentioned that for this makeover he is going to focus mainly on Cathy’s hair as they need the most care and can also act as her biggest asset if treated properly.
Coming Up With A Plan
Kyan understood Cathy’s hesitation with huge changes, so he tried to explain to her how his plan will work. He will try to get rid of the brassy tones in her hair and give her more of a natural shade of blond. That way her hair color and texture will both improve at once. Also, the length of her hair did not go with those 80s bangs so he will try to find a balance for that as well.
Getting Started
Kyan got started with changing the brassy tones in Cathy’s hair. He put together a perfect blend of shades to bring out a natural-looking blonde color that will complement her skin perfectly. Even though Cathy was naturally a brunette, he decided not to bring out the browns in her hair to avoid any drastic changes.
