WashijaSecret Gift
Ever since she got the news about her brother’s wedding, Kayla has been planning a surprise for her mother. It didn’t come to her mind immediately but it clicked soon enough to make it work before the wedding. She knew how much her mother has been struggling with her looks for quite some time now. But she has never once said anything that might suggest she is not happy.
Tedious Process
Deciding on a surprise gift was not easy for Kayla. She knew she had to help her mother find her confidence back. But how do you gift confidence to someone? After brainstorming a few ideas, Kayla finally decided on one idea. She had to send out an e-mail to roll the dice and wait for her lucky stars to shine. And as luck would have it, she was successful!
Preparing
That morning, Kayla got up earlier than her mother and started planning her surprise. She had to take Cathy out but didn’t know what to tell her about where they are going. At last, she settled on some last-minute wedding shopping excuse. Cathy, whose head was too occupied with her thoughts, didn’t question her daughter’s shopping plan once.
Reaching The Venue
The mother-daughter duo was out and about, the first thing that morning. Cathy had no idea what Kayla had in store for her. Instead of pulling up at a shopping complex, Kayla pulled up next to a studio. Cathy, who didn’t take notice at first, frowned when she noticed a camera crew walking around huge trailers. She looked at her daughter, who couldn’t hide her smile any longer.
Filming
“Surpriiiiseee!”, exclaimed an overexcited Kayla. Cathy came to know they are not going shopping after all. Instead, Kayla had planned a surprise for her by taking her to the Rachael Ray Show! But the surprise is not that they get to attend the show live. The surprise is they get to be on the show! Kayla had sent out an e-mail to Rachael Ray requesting a makeover for Cathy!
Makeover Magic
So Kayla had planned for Cathy to receive a makeover from the best artists out there on the Rachael Ray show! Cathy could not believe her daughter had come up with such an amazing surprise. Kayla had tried to talk to her about her concern before but Cathy had always shrugged it off saying it’s nothing, but given the surprise she planned, Cathy realized she must be really worried about her.
