So when she thought everything was fine and left her brother to head back home, something awful happened. Greg had called his sister because he was going through a crisis. He had completely panicked because, though his operation went smooth, what happened next was uncalled for. The incision had leaked out fluids and he could not feel his leg, it went numb.
Everything Goes Wrong
And there was yet another thing that made sense as to why Greg was in such a state of panic. Everything that Lisa was in fear of came true. And to make his situation evens worse, the home health workers were still not there, they had not arrived yet. Greg had to go through this horrific ordeal all alone, frail and just out of major surgery.
No Options
From such a successful surgery, Greg’s luck totally flipped. He was lying in bed, his incision had left his leg numb, alone with no one to assist him. To make matters even worse, something else added to his worry. Greg did not even have enough money to get a cab to transport him to the hospital. He could not get any Uber drivers in his area too.
How To Get There?
So, there he was, it was as of all of his luck had run out. Everything that could possibly go wrong, went south. Greg was left without any option to get himself to the hospital. Greg could call an ambulance but that would it would be too expensive and would not be covered by the VA, so he did not. “I’m going to drive myself to the hospital,” Holeman stated in voicemail.
Getting A Warning
So when she listened to the voicemails that her brother had sent her while he was struggling to find a way to get back to the hospital, Lisa began to worry as well. She made an immediate call to her brother. After learning about his plans to drive himself to the hospital because he did not get any cab, Lisa had to warn him not to drive himself to the hospital.
His Social Worker
So since she wanted to stop him from doing what she thought was a dumb move, Lisa called Greg. And while on call, she decided to ask him the name and number of his social worker. She knew that her brother was not in a condition to drive himself, she told him that she would make a call to ask the social worker to send somebody to help him.
