After holding this paper in her hands which dated back to April 15, 1865, it didn’t take much time for the woman to figure out that it was reprinted around the 1880s. The time span of more than a century wasn’t able to cast any effect on the old paper as it was in good condition. Well, it’s good condition was in total contrast with the sad news it announced that of the assassination of President Lincoln.

She also laid her hands on a newspaper of the Detroit Free Press dated June 30, 1891. Surprisingly, in this one unlike the others, she did not find anything special mentioned inside of it. Later, she realized that it was a common habit of the people at that time to save the newspaper published on their wedding day. This tempted her to take a close look at the newspaper searching for her grandparents’ wedding date.
