The First Contact
On Facebook, Sarah immediately reached out to Katie and let her know that she wanted to return her long-lost camera and photos to her. After agreeing to meet each other in a place that was public, they did so at a parking lot in Target.
Finally Meeting
Katie was ecstatic to meet Sarah and approached her in the parking lot. “Thank you!” Katie exclaimed as she approached Sarah. Once reunited with the camera she’d lost years earlier, Katie was delighted. “I think we thought it was long gone!” she admitted.
The Memories Return
The pictures in the camera had been taken all the way back in 2011 even though the camera was returned in 2017. Her little baby boy in the photos was now seven years old. Katie was clearly very excited to finally see the photos after a long while and rushed home.
Valuable Gift
It will certainly have been a trip down memory lane for Katie and her son who for more than half a decade had thought that the images had been lost forever. All thanks to Sarah the bargain hunter extraordinaire, she could finally save the memories of her adorable son.
A Walk Down Memory Lane
Katie got quite teary-eyed when it was returned.“I didn’t think of it as a big deal. I would think that anyone else would do it, but I guess maybe nowadays that isn’t the case,” Sarah told KTVL. She expressed her gratitude to Sarah and was overjoyed.
Remember The Golden Rule
“I didn’t buy a camera, I bought a bag, and that’s wrong,” Sarah continued. “I live by the golden rule – I would hate someone to do that to me.” It is truly commendable to see that Sarah was kind enough to go through all of the trouble of returning what had been lost.
