While she was already at the famous TV show “Antiques Roadshow” and the video that featured Rose and her experience with the appraisal and learning what her granny’s painting was worth went viral on YouTube but her story wasn’t just limited to the internet and the show. The success of the video helped it in attracting the eye of many local news channels and Rose enjoyed her share of fame that lasted for a good couple of weeks. She also made a revelation in an interview about art collectors showing interest in her granny’s painting.
The Highest Bid
A sum of $300,000 could be a life-changing amount for many but the collectors won’t think twice before spending it on such an exquisite piece of art. Rose’s story spread like a wildfire on social media and the word was well received by many art lovers. In the matter of a few days, she was being approached by bidders who were willing to pay twice the appraised amount for this painting. But Rose is in no hurry as she still has to make her mind about what to do with the painting.
