Would you believe it? It was nothing but a small bug that had somehow managed to get inside the frame and it sat right on top of the canvas. Rose took care of the business as she carefully removed the glass to open the frame up, further exposing it to the summer’s air. The bug was now gone and luckily it hadn’t caused any damage to this beautiful artwork. However, this incident changed Rose’s perception of her picture and what happened next turned out to be the biggest surprise of her life.
An Annoying Bug
Rose took a close look at this bug and it turned out to be a mosquito which is certainly the most annoying bug ever. She used her thumb and finger to carefully pluck the insect without even looking at the painted surface. Her heartbeat started to race as soon as she threw the bug out and placed the glass back over the painting. She later explained “I took it out to the front yard and I opened it up to get the mosquito out so I could take it with me to college, and then it kind of scared me a little. I closed it back up immediately because it looked like it might be real.”
The Truth
Who is the worst and the most ridiculously terrible insect? The majority of people would definitely hate those annoying mosquitoes. They are really awful and useless bugs who ruin our sleep with their highly unpleasant hum and moreover carry fatal diseases. Luckily for Rose, this annoying bug was perhaps the push she needed to discover the ultimate truth.
The Evaluation
It was turning out to be a long day for Rose as she had been waiting around for an appraiser to see her. Eventually, Rose was asked to take a seat with her painting upon the evaluation table. She held the painting carefully as if her life depended on it, she could feel a thousand butterflies in her gut as the master appraiser, Meredith Hilferty, took a seat next to her. Now was the time!
About The Art
The interview began immediately and the first thing that Meredith asked Rose was “what exactly do you know about this painting?” To Meredith’s surprise, Rose, unlike any other visitor, was well aware of the intrinsic details of this masterpiece. She replied, “I know he was born in France and then he moved to northern Pennsylvania.”
Frontier Artist
Rose had mentioned the famous French artist named Henry Francois Farny, and his legendary interactions with the native American tribes. He apparently learned the old traditions of the forest from a tribe named Seneca; a tribe that moved from the state of New York to hunt in the place where Henry had spent his childhood. On a different note, if this painting was authentic, how did it end up with Rose’s grandmother.
