An Early Decision
Todd Weaver was born to a Foreign Service family in northern Virginia. After living his childhood overseas, his family finally settled in Hampton, Virginia. The 9/11, 2001 attack on America touched this Bruton High School’s senior student deeply that he decided to serve his country in whatever way he can. As he grew up he kept his words.
Todd, The Smart Guy
Todd and Emma went to the same high school for their graduation but never really shared a conversation. There is at least one guy like Todd in every school, tall, smart, sportsman, scholar, heart-throb, sincere kind of guy. Todd was a known figure in the college, he was an athlete, the best player in baseball and football. The guy had his dreams and did whatever is to be done to turn them into reality. He was the kind of guy, girls would do anything to date. But he wasn’t looking for the teenage fun part but something serious.

They graduated from high school without knowing each other until a few years later, they met at a random get together and when Emma was leaving in the rain, Todd ran out without shoes, he shouted her name, and there he was, in wet socks and clothes asking her number and a kiss! The two became close in no time.
Emma, The Sweet Girl
Then one day, when Todd asked Emma out she said yes. Unlike Todd, she was just another girl of the college with nothing so extraordinary on her profile. She couldn’t be happier than she was on the day he fixed a date with her. She wore her favorite dress and waited for him at the doorstep. They had a great evening together and she understood that the guy wasn’t only good from the outside but kindhearted on the inside.
Will You Stay?
After their first date, they both stayed together as they enjoyed each other’s company. Their families too liked each other and they use to hang around at each other’s place all the time. When Todd started seeing a long time partner in Emma, he told her about his future plan and what was his career objectives and if Emma would support him for it or leave him on his own.
An Army Life
He had applied in the National Guard and got selected. Todd was scared that Emma might not want to stay with him when he’ll tell her that he wanted to join the army. After all, it’s not easy to be in a relationship with an army man. They stay out for months playing with life and death most of the time. Emma was ready to take the challenging role of being in a relationship with a military man as she loved her man, Todd. She knew no time and risk can affect her love for him.
