Another one of the employees, Maddie Grocott recalled of Deedee’s response, “Vickie showed (Eastern Bank’s video) to me, and I cried.” It was not just a great day for Deedee’s family and friends, even all the employees of the restaurant were thrilled about the event.
The Criticiser
“By all means, keep mentioning the Bank that made it ALL possible. God, I hate these virals,” mentioned one of the commenters. Many people didn’t seem to believe that all this was done out of generosity. People said it was just a publicity stunt from the bank’s representatives.
Reply To Criticism
One other person responded to the criticism: “Well they brought lots of cameras and filmed it didn’t they? Do you think they would have done this without the assumed publicity? No, the bank forked over the cash for this because some marketing analyst calculated that the $50,000 or whatever they spent would bring them $150,000 in new business or something.”
“The Perfect Candidate”
According to the bank, Deedee was “the perfect candidate” to be selected for this amazing gift. Debbie called Deedee “the sweetheart of Eastern Bank” for she has always been paying her installments on time no matter how hard time has been to her.
Her Daughters Moved Away
Deedee’s three daughters used to live in different cities. One of them moved back to help Deedee in the restaurant business. With this renovating effort, all of them got a chance to get back together once again for a short while.
Daughter’s Excitement
Themie, one of the daughters who live in California said about the new restaurant, “We just cannot describe how grateful we are for this entire process, and how beautiful Pizza Bella is looking.”
