Generous Appreciation
People who start with a regular part-time job are most generous when it comes to giving tips. They know the struggles and appreciate the waiters and waitresses who are supposed to treat the customers with a smile. Waiters who are good with their work earn a lot of money from tips, sometimes exceeding their in-hand salary. Who won’t do a good job when they are getting paid for it nicely, right? Unfortunately, Whitney Anderson thought exactly the same way and that’s where she went wrong. She landed into an unbelievable incident. Whitney Anderson is a family person who believes in sharing quality time with her husband whenever she is free but that day was about to be different than the rest.
Fun Night Out
So, when they went to the restaurant, there was this soothing smell all over indicating that they are at a decent place. They sat on their seats they reserved in advance as it was a weekend and they didn’t want to stand outside in the waiting line. Everything went fine and they had more fun than they had expected. They stayed there for almost 2 hours but things were about to turn another way around quickly.
Generous Tip
Well, Whitney Anderson decided to give the waitress a tip of $10 when their overall bill was $45. Now that’s a 25% tip. While most of the waiters and waitresses will be overwhelmed by such a tip and will be thankful for the customer’s generosity, this waitress was different. It seems like she wasn’t satisfied at least her later actions said so.
The Unexpected
The expectation was to see a text from the bank indicating the charge of $55.50 including both, the bill of $45 and on top of it the tip of $10. She was the one who told them to take this much amount. And there was a text from the bank’s end confirming the transaction that took place last night. But what came to her surprise was the amount mentioned in the text.
Wrong Receipt
Whitney confirmed with them whether it is the merchant copy or the customer copy. When they rechecked, it was the customer’s copy which wasn’t supposed to be there in the first place. She was angry and wanted to know is it just what looks like a wrong charge of an extra $10 or is it something more than that. In a world where a person’s account information can easily get compromised, Whitney’s concern was valid. The restaurant should have given her the merchant copy, not the customer one.
