On December 5, 1945, at 2:10 p.m, five TBM Avenger torpedo bombers were scheduled for their daily three-hour exercise, “Navigation Problem Number One.” The whole squad of the planes was known as Flight 19. The incident took place when they were returning back to their Naval base, one of the pilots named Taylor experienced some malfunctioning on his plane compass and he found that they have been flying in the wrong direction and their struggle started when the front of the plane blew up and the sky became black accompanied by heavy rain. “I don’t know where we are, We must have got lost after that last turn.” one of the pilots said on the radio. What happened to Flight 19 is still a mystery.
A Pattern Forms
With the big incidents like the USS Cyclops and Flight 19, the scientists sensed a particular pattern. Other than these two there were other puzzling disappearances too, including three passenger planes and a pleasure yacht. They wanted to solve the mystery but how? Neither the sea route nor the sky route was safe. But the scientists had something else in their mind that solved the mystery forever.
The Birth Of The Bermuda Triangle Legend
You might have thought, how did the Bermuda Triangle get the name? So, in 1964, author Vincent Gaddis wrote an article in a magazine about the incidents that happened in the area. The article was published in February issue of Argosy and it is said, the term Bermuda Triangle appeared for the first time in the article and caught the eyes of the general public. But it was the content of the article that shook the world.
Paranormal Writers Take On The Legend
Gaddis’ article paved the way for the other writers that changed the way people saw the Bermuda Triangle. Some writers connected the incidents of this place with the paranormal activities and it was this paranormal connection that made people afraid of the Bermuda Triangle. But in the year 1974, Charles Berlitz did something unexceptional when he wrote the book The Bermuda Triangle, in which he tried to connect the Bermuda Triangle with the long-lost mystical city of Atlantis. He even provided some proof.
Atlantis
The lost city of Atlantis is a very debatable topic. Some believe this city was there and with time sunk deep inside the sea. There are others who don’t believe that this city ever existed. But what is interesting are the theories of few paranormal theorists that say that because of all the advanced technology that this lost civilization had and because of that we see these strange incidents taking place in the Bermuda Triangle. When a rock formation was discovered in the Bahamas, this evidence was linked with the Atlantis. We don’t know about you but we are going with the Alien theory.
Aliens
To be true, if anything is more interesting than the Bermuda Triangle it would be Aliens. Just imagine some Aliens from the outer space living deep inside the sea and making these incidents happen. And what if all the disappearances that have taken place till now are still intact and the people are living with aliens deep down inside the sea. How cool is that? What’s cooler is the discovery made by a treasure hunter who claims that he found an extraterrestrial spaceship that too 300 feet below in the Caribbean. But the next theory is even more interesting.
