As their efforts were again fruitless, the crew had a sudden realization. Even though all of their desperate attempts at saving the child had gone to waste, they thought of a new idea. The team was sure that if another person could go down the deep well, the boy could possibly be saved. A 14-year-old boy called Cristian Marian Becheanu said he was up for the challenge.
An Ideal Body
When the rescue team looked for someone to fit the narrow well, all of the adults were out of the question because of their size. The boy’s slim frame, however, made him the perfect size to fit inside the well. There was another thing that the little boy possessed that made him the ideal candidate. He was fearless. This boy was not afraid to go down the well if it meant saving another person’s life.
Getting Ready For The Unknown
When they approached him to do the task, the little boy agreed and was not hesitant to help. A fireman started to prepare Cristian for the task. This brave boy was not at all scared to be the person in charge if it meant saving the boy trapped in the well. To start, he was adorned with a strong harness that had been attached to his waist.
No Nervousness
You can only imagine the amount of stress and worry that the people witnessing this incident must be facing. The news video from the event captured the teen who showed no sign of nervousness, staying extremely calm as the rescue team set him up for the task. He was unusually calm and did not seem to be nervous or dreading it at all.
High Emotions
For a boy his age, Cristian was indeed commendable because other boys his age would tremble with fear by just the thought of being lowered down the well. The media people were attempting to ask him questions. There was a reporter who quickly questioned him if he was scared at all. When he was asked this question, Cristian told them that he was in fact not scared one bit.
A Hard Knock Life
There was something about Cristian that everyone did now know. His life was actually a very difficult one, to say he did not lead an easy life would be an understatement. His dear mother had passed away and the teenager had been living under the care of his old grandfather. He was living a very poor life with no material possession to speak of.
