Wolves Are Fierce Hunters
Because of this depressing condition that he had been thrust into, this once fierce carnivore could no longer enjoy the thrill of hunting or the comfort of roaming around in the pack! Through the unity of their pack wolves have been known to hunt down all sorts of animals regardless of their size. In fact, there have been reported incidents of wolves taking down an entire Bison!
Appetite Of A Wolf
Wolves usually are required to eat about four pounds of meat a day to live a healthy life. However, if a wolf is still growing he will be needed to eat about thrice as much. According to researchers, wolves can be considered a feast-or-famine kind of consumer. They have been known to fast for several days if the need arrives. But this captured wolf would soon find an abundance of meat.
The Potential Meal
The man who had captured his free-spirited beast was well aware that his new “pet” would soon be hungry and would be in need of a ton of meat. Perhaps it was a stroke of luck that he chanced upon a huge source of meat for the wolf. This meat source came in the form of a donkey who had been put on sale in Patkoi.
Hoping For A Chow-Down
By this fortunate coincidence both the owners would be able to kill two birds with one stone. One would be able to get rid of his donkey while the other will be able to feed his “pet” wolf, keeping in consideration the size of the donkey, it should be enough for a few days too. After 4 long months in captivity, it seemed like this wolf was finally in for a treat! But things took a turn for the unexpected.
A Shocking Twist
In order to feed his wolf, the man thought I would be best if this wolf “hunted” his prey on his own, so he went on to shove the donkey inside the cage with the wolf, where he would apparently meet his doom. But to the surprise of everyone gathered to watch this wolf “hunt” things turned out in the opposite way. Both the captured animals became friendly with each other.
Striking Up An Instant Bond
This was truly something no one could have possibly expected. As this odd couple immediately forged a bond. Indeed even this wolf who was lone, to begin with, needed some company after spending 4 excruciating months in captivity. Maybe it was his social nature that made him want companionship over food.
