He called out to her

As soon as Adolfo called out for Kiara, she stopped in her tracks. The blase lioness was immediately attuned to the voice that had called her name. She instantly turned around because she recognized the voice! Although she still wasn’t sure if it was actually Adolfo, she had to sniff out his scent to find out.

She became restless

After hearing Adolfo’s voice, Kiara quickly knew that her trainer and adoptive dad from all those years ago was here! That’s when she got restless and started pacing around, searching for him impatiently. What Kiara did next, no one could have expected!

She was excited to see him!

It only took a couple of seconds for Kiara to put together that Adolfo was coming to see her and so she jumped straight at the door! The gesture speaks volumes about these fierce predators, that they do indeed care for people who are close to them. Although Adolfo was still ways away from the door, Kiara’s excitement could not be contained!

Her priceless reaction

Seeing how Adolfo was only a mere two feet away from the door, Kiara started pacing about her cage. It’s safe to assume that she was excited to see him. But when the door opened, her reaction was priceless! It was one to be recorded for the books. 

Guarding the door

Now that Kiara realized that Adolfo was about to enter her cage, she could not help but be near it. The other zookeepers were even concerned by Kiara’s behavior, seeing how she was standing guard at the door. But they could not have fathomed the succeeding course of events!

The unimaginable

Kiara did the unimaginable and jumped straight into Adolfo’s welcoming embrace. From the moment he stepped into the cage, she was clung on to him like glue. She embraced him the same way she used to do when she was a cub, but now she was way too heavy for Adolfo and they fell to the ground!
