This Dog Kept Barking At Its Pregnant Owner And Ended Up Saving Her Life

As her pregnant belly grew, she became sicker and even had back pain. Eventually, she decided to visit her midwife to see if there was a problem. The nurse reassured her saying that all the discomfort was simply her small frame adjusting to her pregnancy.

Alhanna went home having no tension. But then Keola started behaving a little weird again. “She would nudge me and cry and I could never figure out why she had suddenly started doing this. Ricky said she was distraught whenever I went to work when she had never minded before,” the mom-to-be revealed.

Even after some time passes, Keola would whimper at the sight of her master. Presumably bemused, she decided to share a photo of her dog watching over her online. Alhanna’s mother became a bit concerned after coming across the picture.

The expecting mom revealed, “My [mom] phoned and said, ‘listen to your dog, she is trying to tell you something.’ It turns out she was absolutely right – and she saved our lives. She is the most amazing dog and I owe her my life.”

Taking her mother’s advice, Alhanna visited the hospital. Upon arriving, she collapsed. Alhanna came so close to dying, doctors rushed her to intensive care. There, the doctors gave Alhanna her diagnosis: a double kidney infection and an antibiotic-resistant bug.

Alhanna’s life could be saved, all thanks to the intensive care and medical attention she received from the medical experts there. However, they told her that if she’d put off coming to the hospital any later, she might have died. Keola could take all the credit.
