Not That Into It
For the sake of her dad’s happiness, Anna promised Steve that she’d watch the game with him, which she did. But her demeanor gave away the fact that Anna wasn’t interested. For most of the time, she was using her cell phone, texting and laughing at memes. Steve didn’t like it much and tried to concentrate on the game without saying anything.
A Big Loss
However, it only alleviated his frustration as the game progressed. The five-time champions were way behind the Eagles and things weren’t as good for the Patriots. In fact, they played terribly, they gave away a massive lead in the first two quarters. Despite making a great comeback in the 3rd quarter, they were defeated 41-33 by the Eagles and Steve was disheartened.
Mourning For His Team
It turned out to be a rough day for Steve, his dream of watching the Patriots lift the NFL glory was shattered. He was in absolute disbelief by what he had witnessed, it didn’t make sense to him as of how could the Patriots lose to a side that had never in their history won a Super Bowl before. He sat right there on his couch, holding his head in between his hands for almost as much as 15 minutes. His day couldn’t have been any worse.
Where’s Anna?
Although there wasn’t anything that could possibly make up for the Pirate’s loss there was no bad in going out and grabbing something to eat. Steve thought that it would be a good idea to take Anna out for ice cream and take his mind off the defeat. But when he raised his head up and looked around, it occurred to him that Anna wasn’t there and he eventually thought of checking her room.
A Note On The Bed
When Steve headed towards Anna’s room he could see that the door was open, something a teenager won’t usually do, the grown-ups like to have some privacy right! When Steve walked in he found that Anna wasn’t there and given that the whole house was silent, he didn’t know where she could be. Just as Steve was thinking his eyes caught the sight of a hand-written note that was placed on Anna’s bed.
Abrupt News
Steve picked up the note and gave it a read, unaware that he was in for a shock. The very first line read “Dear Mom and Dad, I’m sorry to have to tell you like this but I’m eloping with my new boyfriend Muhammad.” While the game wasn’t already enough to ruin his day, reading to this note had certainly distressed Steve. He had never heard of any guy from Anna before, and he was just as stunned to know it this way.
