Softening The Blow
Finally, Josh broke the news that not a single word in the letter was true. Much like Anna, he made the revelation in the post script, and Josh’s dad had a similar reaction to it as well. As devastated and tensed he was while reading the letter, he was relieved to know it was just a prank, and what made him laugh his guts out was the reason behind this mischief.
The Purpose
Josh used this trick to reduce his dad’s anger over his poor grades. In the postscript he mentioned, “I’m at Jason’s, I did this to remind you that there are worse things in life than my academic school report which is on the dining table.” The teenager used this trick to make up for his bad grades, a situation we have all been into at least once or more than many times if one happens to be me. P.s. not talking about the scholars here.
Uncertainty
But does the trick always work? Imagine if one doesn’t like the joke and even josh was aware of the uncertainty, in his note he further added, “Drop me a call when it’s safe to be back home.” To Josh’s luck, his father had taken the prank sportingly. But if your parents or anyone you are thinking of pulling this trick on happens to be short-tempered, I suggest that you to prepare for the consequences.
Emerging Trend?
As of now, the trick has a hundred percent success rate with both Anna and Josh getting the desired result. Will the trend fade or could this be another emerging trend in the likes of kiki or ice-bucket challenge? P.s. If you are planning on to pull this trick, don’t forget to mention the post script.
