Speaking Words

Andrea says that the couple was surprised when at the age of two Delaney began to speak. Often it was seen that children with down syndrome took longer than usual to speak words, but thankfully Delaney was making progress. They were happy with the way events were turning.

A Memoir

Andrea and Keston decided to share their story with the world. They wanted to inspire other parents whose baby is diagnosed with down syndrome. They wrote a memoir named, “Saving Delaney: From Surrogacy To Unexpected Family”. They wanted to tell parents that abortion is not an option.

Don’t Label

While sharing their views about their memoir, Andrea makes a remarkable comment on not to label kids with a disease. Treat them just like any normal child. She further says, “Down syndrome is a label and that’s what society does. It determines what people can and can’t do based on that label.”

Inspired

Many parents who came across Andrea’s and Keston’s decision to raise a child with down syndrome instead of aborting her at the first place said that these two women are really an inspiration for them. They have somewhere given every other human the hope and willingness to overcome anything in life. And now, how was Delaney doing?

Happy Go Lucky

The moms were glad that they gave a child the chance to live. Delaney is doing perfectly fine and is living her best life. She is enjoying with her older siblings. She is a healthy human being with life just similar to any one of her’s age. We wish this little munchkin health and love.
