Patrick Stewart as Captain Jean-Luc Picard
This actor is responsible for putting a whole new twist on the role of a captain when he took on the mantle of Jean-Luc Picard in The Next Generation. Unlike any other person who would have just tried to be the next Kirk. He did something that was completely unexpected and different. Stewart enjoys reading and is well versed in history. People say he is still charming as heck as well.
Rene Auberjonois as Constable Odo
Rene is remembered for two of his most beloved roles. First being that of the father Mulcahy in M.A.S.H and the second is of Odo in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. This character has the gift of shape-shifting and though he first appeared really dry, in the later episodes he delivered several surprises. Since the conclusion of the series, he has worked on several tv shows like The Good Wife and NCIS.
Scott Bakula as Captain Jonathan Archer
Technically it was Captain Jonathan Archer to be the very first person to have ever captained USS Enterprise. And Enterprise was a delightful throwback to the OG series. Archer. Unlike the captains who followed him had a boyish charm. He is a boy scout on top of being an avid fan of water polo. He can also be seen in the hit TV series NCIS: New Orleans.
Kate Mulgrew as Captain Kathryn Janeway
She is the only female Captain in the history of the Star Trek Universe. Captain Janeway held this position all the way from 1995 to 2001. In this role, she was extremely strict and organized. This was indeed the role of a really strong lady and was played as such. Since the conclusion of the Tv show she Is also seen acting in The Next Generation movie and Star Trek: Nemesis.
DeForest Kelley as Dr. Leonard “Bones” McCoy
DeForest Kelley was chosen to play this role in the first Motion Picture Unit during the time he was in service at the Air Force during WW2. It was the time he spends in Hollywood that inspired this actor to pursue a career in acting. After 20 years of that decision, he was chosen to play the character of Bones McCoy. He also made appearances in several original feature movies and episodes of The Next Generation but he sadly passed away in 1999.
James Doohan as Montgomery “Scotty” Scott
James Doohan will forever be remembered as Scotty from the original Star Trek by all of his fans. There this character was seen as a real hardworking member of the crew. He even managed to make look tedious engineering tasks look fun and amusing. But sadly, he didn’t have much luck outside of the original Star Trek universe but he did make several appearances in the original motion pictures and on The Next Generation.
