In the series Star Trek: Voyager, Robert Beltran can be seen playing the role of Commander Chakotay. This character became the center of several key plots in the series and was the first officer. He went on to become a fan favorite and gained a lot of appraisal from the critics as well. He later won 2 ALMA’s and a Golden Eagle Award. And has been working on Tv shows and films since.
Linda Park as Hoshi Sato
The gorgeous Linda Park got her big break when she was chosen to play the role of Hoshi Sato in the Star Trek: Enterprise once she had graduated from the Boston University. This character was the communications officer on the ship and whenever the crew stumbled upon any alien species, she was called upon for communication. Since the ending of the show in 2005, This actress has continued working on tv via a show called Crash.
Stephen Collins as Captain William Decker
One can’t help but think of Eric Camden from 7th Heaven when they look at Stephen Collins. But before this actor was seen preaching on the hit show by WB, he was playing the role of Captain William Decker in the original Star Trek movie. Though it goes without saying that the movie was a bit short on the story department, it displayed amazing graphics for that time. Unfortunately, it’s one of the least watched Star Trek movies.
Catherine Hicks as Dr. Gillian Taylor
Being Co-stars in the hit WB series 7th Heaven is not the only thing common between Catherine Hicks and Stephen Collins. They were both also a part of the original Star Trek movie, where Hicks can be seen playing the love interest of Kirk from 1984’s Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.
Ricardo Montalban as Khan Noonien Singh
Ricardo Montalban was already a very well established character before he scored the role of Kahn in the original Star Trek series. For a long time, the episode where Ricardo was featured in was considered the greatest episode. But in the end, it was seen that this character was exiled on a deserted planet and that was the end of it. Since then Montalban has played several critically acclaimed roles in movies and Tv series like Planet of the Apes and How the West Was Won.
Mark Lenard as Sarek
With the huge history of Star Trek that span over 1966 to 1991, Mark Lenard can arguably be associated to all of it. He first had an appearance in the season 1 as a Romulan Commander and in the following season, he played the role of Spock’s father. He later went on to play the same role in the first 5 Star Trek movies as well. He, unfortunately, passed away in 1996.
