Kirstie Alley took on the role of Lt. Saavik in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. This movie had been credited as the best film in the Star Trek Universe where a ton of classic moments took place. Kirstie Alley did not continue her role but was succeeded by a new actress in the next movies. Following the 1982 film, she starred in Cheers and other hit movies.

Gene Roddenberry as Star Trek’s Creator

 Star Trek would be non-existent if not for Gene Roddenberry. He initially studied Police Science in college and took part in WW2 as a pilot. All of his experiences accumulated into Star Trek coming into being. He is the man behind Star Trek, Star Trek: The Animated Series, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Andromeda, and the original Star Trek film, where he wrote and produced all of them. Gene passed away in 1991.
