Gary Sinise As Mac Taylor – Then
Gary Sinise was the main character in another CSI spinoff, ‘CSI: NY’ as Mac Taylor. Taylor was an instant hit with the fans, as the director of the NYPD crime lab and level III supervisor. There was even a twilight moment of sorts when Sinise crossed over to the main show for season 13, episode 13.
Gary Sinise – Now
Since the spin-off show came to an end in 2013, Sinise has since starred in another crime drama spin-off, ‘Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders.’ He was there for all of its two seasons before the show got axed. In 2014, he made a voice cameo as Narrator of the Smithsonian in Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Louise Lombard As Sofia Curtis – Then
Louise played the role of Sofia Curtis, Gil Grissom’s associate. But it wasn’t long before she became deputy chief of the police department. Similar to Lis Vassey’s character roles, Lombard’s character was a regular fixture in the middle seasons, with her debut in season 5 and ultimate departure in season 11.
Louise Lombard – Now
Lombard is the sole British actor in the entirely American cast of CSI. Since her midway departure, she has had trouble landing lucrative and memorable roles. Her most successful career accomplishment outside of CSI came in 2014 when she appeared as a recurring character in the fantasy police drama Grimm.
David Berman As Dave Phillips – Then
For the first nine seasons, Berman’s character, Dave Phillips, was limited to a recurring presence. He was only made a regular in the latter half of the show’s run from season 10 onwards. Referred to as ‘Super Dave’ by his show’s contemporaries, he was a medical examiner who often assisted Dr. Al Robbins.
David Berman – Now
Berman opted to keep a low profile since the finale of the show, not taking any other acting jobs. The one notable appearance he made post-CSI was on another forensics-oriented show ‘Bones.’
