Actor Robert David Hall was probably the most interesting addition to the cast CSI. He had lost both of his legs in a car accident earlier in his life, which directly became his character’s – Dr. Al Robbins – backstory. After having a recurring role in seasons 1 and 2 of the show, he was cemented as a regular cast member from season 3 onwards.

His first appearance on CSI was towards the end of season 5, as DNA Technician, Henry Andrews. He was only made a regular cast member in season 15 though. Before CSI, he starred in docudrama ‘Surviving Gilligan’s Island’, based on the original sitcom.

The actor has had a successful career in addition to his stint on the crime drama. He has had appearances in highly profitable movies such as ‘Evan Almighty’ and Ocean’s Thirteen.’ Although he ran into financial troubles where he was forced to block his estranged wife on sudden demand for spousal support due to her losing her job at a dog shelter.
David Caruso As Horatio Caine – Then
David Caruso played the titular character – Horatio Caine – on CSI‘s spin-off show, ‘CSI: Miami.’ The spin-off was highly lucrative and critically acclaimed, which earned his character a massive fan following, which included the likes of David Letterman and Jim Carrey.
