Finally, after some corresponding, the friend finally got to Indiana. Joel’s friend could then vouch for the Plymouth, that it was indeed in good condition. He informed Joel that the car was the exact thing he had been looking for, telling him that it would make a worthy investment. To make Joel surer, he then sent some pictures of the car.
An Original Copy
The seller even had all the legal documents with him in hand. He also kept the maintenance records and the original manual of this car. In short, this was indeed an original copy of the 1948 Plymouth Convertible. Joel quickly bought the car off of the seller. The car was now getting prepped to be his parents’ gift. Even though he knew that his parents would be happy to receive it, he was not aware to what extent…
Wrapping It Up
The car went on its way to reach New York. It had been shipped all the way from Indiana. Joel could not believe that this was all happening. It was the care that he wanted so badly to gift his parents and now it was right there before him. It was indeed a dream come true for Joe and Beverly’s son. However, he faced yet another issue. How would he manage to hide this huge gift from his parents?
Friends Help
In his property, Joel did not have enough space to hide the car so that his father would not be able to see it. So luckily Donnie came into the picture. He was a local dealer of cars in the neighborhood and Joel’s good friend. He knew a place where the car could be hidden. However, since they were such good family friends, even Joe would occasionally visit Donnie. Would he spoil the surprise now then?
Some Other Trick
They managed to hide the care in a local dealer’s place. Donnie made sure the car underwent a little pampering. He made some final touch-ups that were needed, to give the cars an extra boost. Meanwhile, Joel was busy thinking of a plan to best surprise his parents. He wanted it to be a huge surprise, something his parents would never forget. So what could he do?
A Fishing Trip
Colby, Joel’s son and Joe’s Grandson was a good pawn in this surprise game. Joel informed his son about all of his plans. So in his plan, Colby would have to request his grandparents to go on a fishing trip which was not something new in the family. Joe and Beverly were very glad to see that their grandson had come to their place. But they were still unaware of the real reason as to why he had come there at all…
