Joel finally realized the perfect gift he could get as a wedding anniversary present for his parents. He made up his mind to get another 1948 Plymouth Convertible for them! Since his parents were so in love with the care, he knew it had to join them again on their journey in life. He could tell just how much they valued the Plymouth from just watching the video. So would he be able to Vintage 1948 Plymouth Convertible in the 21st century?
The Search
Looking for a Plymouth was quite the challenge for dear Joel now. The car is now a vintage piece and was totally overpriced compared to the time his parents bought it. Joel was not able to locate the car quickly. After doing some digging, he realized that there were just 3 of them left where 2 were bought by collectors and one was kept in a museum. Joel was not about to lose his hope though…
Finding It Alas!
Joel decided to make use of the internet and could finally locate a Plymouth convertible online. The ad that he was demonstrated that this car was in perfect condition. Joel could not wait to speak to the owner of this car so that his plan to surprise his parents could follow through. This would make them so happy, he was so sure of it. But then again, he faced a few challenges…
The Dream Car
The seller claimed as though he had kept the car for almost a decade, maintaining it and keeping it in mint condition. He would not drive it during winters and told Joel that it sported a fine shape. It was the 1948 Plymouth Convertible that was still holding the same grandeur it held back in 1948. It also had a very low mileage. So then, what became a problem for Joel?
Trust Issues And Conflicts
The Craigslist ad did not have photos of the car, just the written description was kept. Joel was not sure if this car would be the exact same car from his parent’s wedding video. The seller was an 81-year old man who was not apt with technology so he had no photos of it. He was also all the way from Indiana. Joel contacted him and so he had to send a friend to do some investigation. Then something happened that blew Joel’s mind…
