The Biggest Decision Of Her Life

An Interview
“What I heard that evening about foster care gave me chills and scared me, but it also pulled at my heart in a way I couldn’t stop thinking about it” she mentioned on her blog. She gave an interview and was finally eligible to become a foster mom.
Life As A Foster Mom
In less than a year of starting fostering babies, Katie fostered four kids. Fostering these babies was keeping her engaged and giving her the happiness she always wished for. Although, she wanted to be more than just a foster mom.
Sole Desire
A year into foster caring, Katie informed the caseworker that she was ready to be more than a foster mom. Katie was ready to be a mother and welcome a baby to the forever home as well as her life. As she expressed her willingness to adopt a child, her caseworker assured her that the lucky day would come soon.
One Call
Within a month of revealing her wish to adopt a kid, Katie’s caseworker called her. Katie was informed about a baby boy who was left at the hospital. There was no whereabouts of his family and Katie could foster him to adopt him legally. Sadly, the kid was facing a critical situation.
Drug Exposure
The little one was exposed to drugs inside his mother’s womb. The baby wasn’t showing any signs of withdrawal. Katie reached the hospital as soon as possible. He was one of the tiniest fighters she ever met. She met the doctor, who informed her and the caseworker, that the baby would be discharged the next day.
