This English child actor was popular for portraying Oliver Twist, starring in his first movie role at 6. He also starred in the musical adaptation of the film by the age of 8. He could not sing so he was actually dubbed throughout his whole performance.

At age 19 Lester quit acting to become an osteopath. He and Michael Jackson went on to share a close friendship and are Godfather to each others’ children. Lester has claimed that he donated his sperm so that Jackson could conceive children which means there is a chance they could be his.

Nelson’s most famous role would be Dwayne Nelson on the show “What’s Happening!!” that aired during 1976-1979. He later starred in several ads and in the movie Mixed Company. At the tender age of 14, he appeared on “Sanford and Son” as Grady’s grandson than starring in the spin-off  called “Grady.”

While Nelson never went on to star in an exceptionally good television show after idol days ended, he was still getting offers. After multiple minor roles on shows, he decided to join the behind the scene crew on several talk shows, TV shows, and interview programs.

“Whatchu talking bout Willis?” will go down as one of the most famous lines on a TV show popularized by Gary Coleman.  His iconic role in “Diff’rent Strokes” gave him his big break in 1978. It was centered around a rich Caucasian man who adopts two black kids where Coleman is the comic relief.

 Coleman’s life soon saw a very dim light as he had to go through several ups and downs in his professional and personal life. He battled with his adoptive parents regarding his fortune which he ultimately won. He died of a brain hemorrhage a few years back and is very much remembered even today.
