This country star melted hearts at just 13 years old with her hit song “Delta Dawn.” After Mel Tillis invited her to perform with him on stage, there was no looking back.  After a meeting with Dolores Fuller, the teenager was quickly signed to Colombia Records.

Tanya Tucker went on to secure multiple Top 10 and Top 40 hits throughout the next decade. Her hit songs include “What’s Your Mama’s Name?” and “Blood Red and Goin’ Down”, “Lizzie and the Rainman,” and “Strong Enough to Bend.” She serves as an inspiration to several young country singers as well.

Remember Dee Thomas from “What’s Happening”? It was portrayed flawlessly by the child actress Danielle Spencer. She played the irritable sister with the catchphrase “Ooooohh, I’m tellin’ Mama!”. The series went on to air from August 1976 until April 1979.

Spencer is now a grown woman who is a doctor of veterinary medicine in California. In 2014 she was diagnosed with breast cancer that she eventually beat. She is the only child actor to be inducted into the Smithsonian Museum as a permanent exhibition on African American Culture.

Erin was the youngest member of the Cunningham family in the show “Happy Days.” As Joanie Cunningham took on the role of “brat sister” with perfect comedic timing and execution to Ron Howard’s character Richie Cunningham.  She then starred in the spin-off of the show  “Joanie Loves Chachi.”

Even though she found success with “Happy Days,” Moran had to go through a hard time with her money. In 2012 Moran had a public drunken episode and also got evicted, moving into a trailer park with her husband and mother-in-law. She died in 2017 due to complications of throat cancer.
