Not For It

“They were both adopted from a facility in Florida called Seacrest Wolf Preserve,” Michelle Smith, w worker at the center told interviewers. “We had hoped they would be ambassadors. But sadly, like most wolves and high-content wolf dogs, once they reached maturity they became very shy and ‘retired’ at the ripe old age of two.”

Different Personalities

Wolves have different personalities when they are exposed to humans. They tend to get very shy and timid. On the contrary,they get very hyped up and excited when they spend time with their packs. A sanctuary worker was completely enthralled by this behavior.

Learning More

Danielle, a sanctuary worker was intrigued by this sudden change of personality by these wolves. Danielle is a full-time employee at the sanctuary and is truly dedicated. Even the less glamorous work like cutting up raw meat fro the wolves is okay for her.

Passionate

“I have always had a passion for nature and animals,” Danielle explains. “These wolves have my heart and I am honored to have been accepted into their pack.” Danielle became very close to these wolves and shares a strong connection with them.

Strong Bond

Danielle shares the closest of bond with none other than Kekoa the wolf. Since this particular wolf has a distinct silver coat, the people at the sanctuary can easily recognize him. Kekoa is very calm and reserved but warms up every time he meets Danielle.

Video Footage

This connection shared between Danielle and Kekoa surprised everyone. In fact, Danielle became the only person that Kekoa would allow to get close to him. There was a video of these two playing around which truly amazed many people who saw it.
