Technology Trials
Google Earth proved itself in 2016 by uncovering nature’s wonder which was hidden from the eyes of people. Sergio Neuspiller, who is a filmmaker by profession, was examining an area in Argentina through the Google Program. While searching for a place to shoot, his eyes caught hold of something unusual.
El Ojo
Neuspiller, while searching, stumbled upon a circular island. The island seemed to be trapped in the middle and was circumscribing itself around the water body. The discovery, the piece of land was given the Spanish name “El Ojo”, which stands for “the eye” in the English language.
Video Clip
Neuspiller filmed a video in which he gave a detailed description of the island. In his video, he states, “The Eye is a circle of land 118 meters (387 feet) in diameter, surrounded by a thin water channel.” With this, he added, “the two circles – formed by the water and the earth – are so perfect that it is hard to believe that the island is a natural phenomenon.”
Strange Things
The filmmaker was already in awe as he saw the island, along with that, the island exhibited other strange characteristics which amazed the filmmaker even more. In 2018, Neuspiller told Science Post that, “by using the time control function on Google Earth, we discovered that the inner land disc is moving and turning on its own axis.”
A Mystery?
The nature of this landmass is unusual and its behavior remains mysterious. The discovery of this landmass made Neuspiller visit the site along with some specialists. He hopes to raise funds in the research of the behavior of the landmass and search for the appropriate theories behind its nature.
Another trail
In 2008, Google Earth made another exploration in Egypt. A mineralogist named Vincenzo de Michele while looking at the images provided by the program got distracted by one of the images. He examined the image and concluded that there was something unusual therefore the image caught his attention.
