The places where the Skeletal remains have been found is in Eastern Pacific, South Atlantic, Eastern, and Western Indian Oceans. One of the remains was found in Iran as well. However, they were close to nothing that Asha had discovered.

According to the scientists, Omura’s whale prefers to stay in the shelf and deep waters of subtropical and tropical regions. But it was not known that this species also live waters off this nation island until Asha made this amazing discovery.

No Exact Location
Well, no scientists till now could find out these whales exact location and even anything about their population. Whatever information the researchers have originates from another place where the population of this rare whales has been found. But there too the species managed to evade the researchers.
A Previous Breakthrough
It was in 2013 Omura’s whale was spotted for the first time after it was declared a different species in 2003. The whale appeared off the coast of Madagascar and was called the first sighting post the declaration. No doubt, the sighting had whetted the curiosity of scientists who wanted to know more about this species.
