The team almost gave up the project because there was no way the plane could fly at this height where there was a chance of crashing the plane because of the trees. Even the pilot was unsure if he could do it. But Garrison came up with a plan. He thought of something which he thought could work if the pilot agreed to it. Garrison couldn’t leave the project now when they have come this long. But it all depends on the pilot if he could agree. The pilot was shocked to hear Garrison’s plan. But you could tell that the pilot agreed because if he wouldn’t have then there was no way to discover the secrets of Mayan civilization. But what was his plan?
Garrison’s Plan
Garrison didn’t talk about the plan with his team because he wanted to confirm it with the pilot first. The pilot and Garrison were on the plane when he asked him about his pilot career. To Garrison’s surprise, he has been a pilot almost all his life. Then Garrison asked if he could attach the radars on the wings of the plane. For sure, you can, the pilot said. But pilot was shocked to hear what came next from Garrison’s mouth. You are kidding me, right? The pilot asked in surprise. What did he ask that made this professional pilot so afraid of the task?
Bring The Team In
Garrison called up a meeting with his team where he told them to be a little patient with him. The team respected Garrison for all the work he has done and what he was about to do that changed everything and amazed the world with the discovery he made. The problem was the area was very vast and the plane could only fly at a certain height which decreased their possibility of covering the land in time. The team heard Garrison’s plan which was to attach the radars on each wing of the plane rather than fixing them in the middle part. But why on the wings? The idea was brilliant.
The Genius Idea
Garrison told them if they could fix the radars on the wings then they could cover the maximum area in limited time. Rather than pointing two radars in the same direction, they could just point each radar in different directions. The team was really excited to hear the plan and everybody was ready to do it. They can’t go back now after coming this close to change the history. But the pilot was not convinced. He has his doubts in the plan.
His Doubts
The pilot told the team that if they would fix the radars on the wings of the plane could feel some disbalance because of the weight and the air pressure above. Even Garrison was feeling that this couldn’t be done as it was too dangerous but it was about finding the secrets of Mayan Civilization that lived on this planet, made some amazing structures that world has ever seen and then vanished into thin air. He can’t agree with the fact that the answers are beneath his feet and still he can’t touch them with his hands. But eventually, everything turned out in their favor and managed to discover the most amazing discovery of all time.
Using LiDAR In The Jungle
Thomas Garrison and his team were once in the same jungle on which they used the LiDAR technology. But back then they couldn’t find the hidden clues because they didn’t have the advanced technology they had this time. The area on which they used the radar was over 770 square miles. But with the help of technology, they managed to cover the whole within a couple of hours where they made this mind-boggling discovery. “This is a game changer,” said Thomas Garrison. He added further saying, the discovery has completely changed “the base level at which we do Maya archaeology.” One major discovery stole the show.
