20-wiley-dog-royalty-768x410.jpgBefore searching a home for him, the team examined pup’s temperament and history both. There were many questions starting in their face such as for how long was he with coyotes, how sociable is he and many more, and they needed all of them answered. For that, they did some research work and in some matters followed their intuitions. Soon all the questions got answered.

Two Years Old

15-wiley-dog-face-to-face-768x413.jpgThey concluded that the pup was not more than a couple of years and in that also he spent his eighteen months as stray, they assumed. Which means that he had spent more than half of his life in wild and some of them with coyotes. These facts put a big question mark on his sociable skill. The team began to wonder if he was ready to be adopted.

Proving Everyone Wrong

14-wiley-dog-happy-boy-e1511970144796.jpgThe dog had been surprising everyone since the time he was found. This time also he proved everyone wrong. Despite his uncomfortable past life, he was still a darling. It was evident from the beginning that the pup had the ability to get molded in every type of group that is what happened here. Though he had been in the shelter for not a long time, he already had endeared himself among the team.

Sweetheart

“I think he’s going to be ready for adoption fairly quickly. He’s a sweetheart. He was leaning on me, smooching on me. A lot of these rescue dogs are incredibly grateful. People think, ‘Oh my God, they’re gonna be wild.’ But it’s not the case at all,” Asher stated.

Quick And Smart

Wiley being an intelligent dog used to learn everything quickly. No need to say that this former coyote runner was enjoying everyone ‘s attention from the time he came into the shelter. The dog not only fought the wild roughness but also his disease that had made him lame and inactive. After getting the proper treatment, he became one of the fastest running dogs in the shelter.

Big Marshmallow

Volunteer Frannie Laurita is one of the fans of Wiley. She has even nicknamed the dog “big marshmallow.” You must be wondering why she gave him this name. Well, the pup loves to play with toys but that comes only after getting rubbed and pet.
