A name like Honky Tonky Man might seem comic and even hilarious to some, but you shouldn’t underestimate this man whose real name is Wayne Farris. He has wrestled with this iconic name in both WCW and WWF. This talented wrestler held the title of intercontinental champion for an astounding 64 weeks.but he eventually lost to The Ultimate Warrior. Which in our opinion isn’t a bad way to lose.
The Honky Tonky Man – Now
he left the world of WWE in a subtle way, by reducing his appearance in the ring progressively and ultimately retiring altogether in 2013. But he is still seen putting up a show for his fans in the independent circuits. Bet you didn’t know about his famous cousin though, he’s none other than Jerry Lawler himself. Farris is currently happily married to Tammy Farris and is a father of 2.
Rey Mysterio – Then
To be completely honest, we are still a huge fan of his iconic masks. Ray Mysterio a.k.a. Oscar Gutierrez has mystified countless generations watching WWF. This elusive wrestler fought inside the ring in his epic Lucha libre style which took him on the top of his career between the 90’s and 00’. During his decade-long pro career, he managed to bag the world heavyweight title along with cruiserweight title. He later went on to win even the WWE championship.
Rey Mysterio– Now
Fortunately, Rey Mysterio is going strong till this day and amazingly he doesn’t look a day older than how he did when he made his debut. Our king is still fighting till this day and has dawned an ever awesome mask. He has now dawned an even more amazing mask and is seen wrestling in independent circuits. Yes, you heard it right he still does independent shows including House of Glory, Black Destiny Wrestling, and QPW.
The Miz – Then
Though most of you wouldn’t know what this guy looked like, you must have definitely heard the name. Going by his stage name The Mix, Michael Gregory debuted on MTV’s popular show The Real World: Back to NY. And ever since 2001, his fame has touched new heights every single day. He has also hosted WWE Diva search, Big Show, Wrestlemania.
The Miz – Now
Now, the Miz is one of the biggest if not the biggest name in the world of wrestling. He is also signed up by the wrestling giant WWE, however, he did decide to take a break from his professional life and entered the intercontinental championship. His fans would be happy to know that he is back on the stage and his “Miztourage” also includes Curtis Axel and No Dallas. Currently, he is working with the Raw branch of WWE.
