Among all the breeds out their Bedlington Terriers’ appearance has changed a lot. They were very much sturdy and larger in size as compared to now. Today they resemble a lot to Whippet, Otterhound or Dandie Dinmont Terrier. Bedlington Terrier does share a relationship with these dogs. As far as behavior is concerned then they are very entertaining and opinionated both. Apart from them they also are very intelligent, inquisitive and alert and sometimes acts steered by their century-old hunting instinct as they still get aggravated by the sight of smaller animals.
Fox Terrier: Then
Fox Terriers were used in aggravating the foxes out of their home. They were perfect hunting companion as they were perfect in catching and burrowing foxes. But with time, their task as a hunter began to lower and they surfaced as a leading contender in many dog shows. Fox Terrier still can be seen in a number of dog shows, today’s Fox Terrier is quite different in everything as compared to 1900s Fox Terrier.

No need to say that Fox Terrier of today is very much in contrast to its century-old ancestors. Terriers like other dogs underwent many breedings, they now are divided into two groups that is Smooths and Wires. Whereas Smooth Fox terriers are sleek, intelligent and elegant, Wire Fox Terriers are very cute and easy going canines. Keeping aside the differences Fox Terriers are both friendly, curious and active.
Greenland Dog: Then
This one is 12,000 years old and got ushered in by the primeval tribes. The same people who turned later into modern Eskimo. It was then that the local wolves would act as fathers while breeding. They first began as a sled dog for transportation and hunting. By 1900, the Siberian Husky and Alaskan Malamutes became a popular breed but then also the explorers chose Greenland dogs over them. They liked Greenland dogs as they were more useful in the cold and mountainous conditions.
Now
Greenland dogs are dead loyal to their owner. These dogs are independent by nature and love to wander. They like cold and hilly areas more than any other condition. This giant dog has the scarcity of protective instincts and hence, are not good as a guard dogs. As far as their temperament goes, due to their close relationship with wolves, they have a very similar temperament as of Wolves and functions with an alpha pack instinct.
Setter: Then
This breed had reached to the verge of extinction but soon made a u-turn. It was in the 17th century that the breeders mixed a different variety of setters with dogs who are accustomed t work in the weather situation of Ireland, England, and France. Finally, in the 19th century, the setters became very famous and gained more population. But again in 20th century, during the time of world war, they began to extinct. It was only because of Rev. Noble Huston that some Setter survived extinction in Ireland.
