Kit Carson
Kit Carson contributed immensely to the development of America’s one of the most prominent state, California. He was an unlettered frontiersman who spent a large of fraction of his time with natives. He also tied the knot with 2 native women. However, his third wife was a Mexican he has fathered 10 children.

This series of picture documents the reformation of South Dakota, Wyoming, and Colorado with its impact on the indigenous people. The photographer applied to obtain the copyright of 200 pictures in the latter half of 19th century.

The man in this picture is Bloody Bill. You found his name weird, right? Just wait for his life story you will begin to find him terrifying also. This man was born in 1840 and is famous for his over the top anger. He put over 100 soldiers to death during the civil war. The legend has it that the man murdered 20 soldiers with his gang named Quantrill’s Raiders and killed another hundred all alone. He was the leader of his gang.

Who do you think we have in this picture? A man? No, she is a woman. Pearl Hart became a famous stagecoach robber in 1899. In order to become a stagecoach robber, she underwent many changes. She chopped her hair short, donned men’s cloth. However, soon she got nabbed and was sentenced five years jail. However, she was freed shortly after three years.

How many bodyguards do you take with yourself when you go on a tour? Not any, I suppose until unless you are a big celebrity. But that was not the case in olden times. At those times, the wild west was defamed for its fatal environment. So anyone who used to take up this route had to buy themselves armed man so that they could remain safe.
