SukritiFew Calls
Tom made a few calls and got her on the next available flight. Still, Samantha waited until the seat opened up and she was thinking about everything that’s been going on with her. She was getting more and more nervous. She was cursing herself for missing the flight but little did she know this was all a plan of God especially for her.
Before Takeoff
Within a while, an airport employee seated her in a wheelchair to take her to the gates. Samantha chose a standby seat while booking the tickets and she didn’t have a choice when it came to seating although she was seated in the first available spot. The pregnant woman was now in her seat and it took her a moment to settle down and relax. The seat next to her was still empty and she was more concerned about the flight than any stranger who’ll be sitting next to her.
An Elegant Woman
Right before the flight took off, the woman whose seat was right next to Samantha walked in. She looked like a mature, sorted and elegant woman in her 40s. While keeping her bags inside, she looked at Sam and gave a smile. She was completely calm while Sam was nervous, she always had this flight anxiety.
In-Flight Friendship
Samantha was holding on two of the handles of her chair tightly and her eyes were closed. The color of her face was turning red and the woman next to her could sense the fear of the young lady. The woman sitting next to her was more than helpful and experienced, she started an intriguing conversation with Samantha which helped her to forget about her anxiety. Her name was Temple and her attempt to make Samantha feel comfortable worked. The one hour flight passed quickly as the two continued talking, laughing and became instant friends. None of them were expecting too much once they get off the plane.
Parting Ways
During the short span, Samantha informed Temple about her reason for going to North Carolina in such a situation and about her previous relationship. She even shared her doubts about keeping the baby. After the flight landed, Temple took Samantha to the bathroom and helped her get her to make up done. Temple then waited with Samantha at the airport to make sure that someone turns up to pick her up. They both exchanged numbers and Temple, the kind woman told Samantha to feel free to call her. Once Samantha was picked up they both assumed this was it to their friendship but their lives were yet to overlap in the most emotional ways.
Tom, The Nice Guy
Tom picked up Samantha from the airport and they both got to know each other better within a day. She was feeling safe with him and told him about her meeting with Temple. Within the next couple of days that things suddenly turned around unexpectedly.
