They were aware of the high price they could get for Joyce’s place as it was located in the same neighborhood. They did their homework and estimated a mind-blowing value of $968,000, but the number could vary and go both ways i.e. upwards or downwards depending upon how well-maintained the place was.
Fleeting Uncertainty
The lack of certainty in Joyce’s voice was the only major concern for Carla and Gladys. However, Joyce convinced them that she was clear in her head about what she wanted irrespective of the fact that she had spent a whopping 72 years of her life in that place. It would be hard for anyone to finally say goodbye to a place one has spent a lifetime in, and it was obvious that Joyce had made and cherished many beautiful memories over such a long period of time in her home. And to do so, they arranged a meeting with Joyce at her place to see what they were dealing with.

Carla and Gladys left for the verification with the address details and a picture of the house which was not at all fascinating in comparison to other buildings in the neighborhood. Joyce was clear in her head as to what she wanted, which was to sell her home. The long-awaited day finally arrived and Gladys and Carla knocked on Joyce’s door.
