NathanDina’s Motivation
There was a huge question that had been ringing in the heads of viewers during the whole show in 2012. What could possibly be the reason why a woman like Dina who is so successful in her field, take part in a show like ‘Undercover Boss’? This had been a question for many because she certainly did not need the exposure for herself nor for her company. But when she clarified this, her answer made complete sense.
Some Standards
So the reason that Dina gave for joining the show ‘Undercover Boss’ back in 2012 was quite reasonable. Dina Dwyer-Owens’ reasons were very plain and simple. It centered around her father’s morals that he wanted his company to withhold, “My goal when deciding to go undercover,” Dina explained, “was to try and work out how we were doing as a company. Are we really meeting the standards and values that my dad founded the company on?”
The Perfect Employee
After revealing why she wanted in on the show, Dina then kept the focus on Tanna Marino. Dina was talking about Tanna who had now turned emotional from all the positive things her boss was saying about her. The mother of four was then pulled in for a big hug by Dina who said to her that she was what her father, Don Dwyer would have wanted. She called her the perfect employee. She then told Dina something that made her tear up even more…
You’re Amazing!
After telling Tanna Marino that she was the incarnation of the perfect employee her father Dom Dwyer would have wanted for his company, Dina Dwyer-Owens could have stopped. But since she was so touched by Tanna, she said some other thing. Dina commended Tanna on her nature outside of the workplace. “You’re an amazing technician,” Dina said to Tanna, “You’re also an incredible wife and mother.” It was clear that Tanna had left a huge impression on her company owner Dina.
A Grand Change
To think that this all started with Tana thinking she would appear on a show called ‘Don’t Quit Your Day Job’ is something truly amazing. This was indeed a huge plot twist for the struggling mother of four. After the revelation that the show she appeared on was called ‘Undercover Boss’, Tanna’s life changed forever. She confessed, “The money I received changed my life in every way imaginable. The cash that Dina gave me meant my family could move to a bigger home.”
Another Bonus
There were a lot of changes that took place after the show. These changes were not just financial. Tanna and her family also moved into a bigger house with her family which was something the whole family had always wanted. Tanna then revealed something the following day that proved the kind of person she was, “I’m actually able to work from home now. My hours are far more flexible which means I can spend more time with my kids.”
