A Sense Of Empathy
Upon hearing this, it struck a chord at Dina’s heart. So Faith, who is really Dina Dwyer-Owens revealed, “One of my major concerns, when I was talking with Tanna, was she said that both she and her husband were working yet she still needed a second job to make ends meet.” Dina was not about to let anything unfortunate happen to Tanna. She saw how dedicated she was, she did not wish to see her employee struggle this way.
The Revelation
When the filming of what Tanna thought was ‘Don’t Quit Your Day Job’ got over, Marino got an invitation to go to her boss’ house. When she got there, she did not expect much to happen. She did not realize that she was about to get the shock of her life as everything was finally revealed to her. She came to Dina’s house unaware of the real reason as to why she was invited to meet her.
Left Speechless
After sitting her down, Tanna was informed of what was actually going on on the show. She came to know about the intent of show and who had been following her those 2 days at work. She was in shock and struggled to find the words to say.
The Reward
You can already imagine what a struggle it was to keep every secret and hide the truth from Tanna. So when she was called to Dwyer-Owens’ home, Dina was quite the emotional wreck. She and Tanna together had a very intense meeting, that touched the hearts of people who watched the show. Dina then went ahead to give Tanna some money. She handed her $25,000, and her reason for this as she told Tana was ‘for being you’.
Yet Another Gift
This act of generosity was only the beginning. When she was reminded by Tanna of how hard it was to grow up with an absent father because of his work, Dina did not want Tanna to give the same kind of childhood to her kids. Dina knew if Tanna took a second job, this was inevitable, so Dina made sure $10,000 had been kept aside as a scholarship fund for Tanna’s kids. Quite the gesture, don’t you agree?
From One Woman to Another
Dina Dwyer-Owens did not stop. She told Tanna about her appreciation for thriving in an industry which is predominantly catered by men. She gave her an extra $5,000 in order for Tanna could create ‘Women in the Trades’, a program specifically designed for women who are in the trading business. The fund had been given to her to indulge in any books, fees, general tuition or travel.
