A student from Germany who was searching for a sofa-cum-bed in a flea market found one which she bought for $215. She used it for a while and never used it as a bed but one day she did and she discovered a painting inside it. This painting which is known as “Preparation to Escape to Egypt,” is a very popular and its artist is still unknown. It is said that it was painted in the early 1600s and was sold for $27,630. The Mini Masterpiece
Robin Darvell from England bought a box which he thought was full of junk for $46. Little he knew there was a small painting inside the box which he kept inside the drawer for 10 years. After Robin passed away his son Rob took possession of his belongings and was surprised to see this painting which had very familiar signature on the backside. He wanted to know more about the painting and was shocked to find out that this painting was a work of a famous English artist John Constable and was worth around $390,000.
