Tracing Down The Real Owner
“The entitlement very quickly went away with finding that notice with her name on it. Because we didn’t earn that money,” Cally explained. Even their parents were so proud of their decision that they decided to help their children on this journey of finding this woman and return her money. The next day they searched for the name in the phone directory and luckily they found a number of names with the same name as this woman. One by one they called all the numbers and they found her.
Giving The Good News
They called up the woman and disclosed the news. “I’m like, ‘I found something that I think is yours,’ and she’s like, ‘What?!’” And I’m like, ‘I found a couch,’ and then she’s like, ‘oh my God, I left a lot of money in that couch.’” Reese exclaimed. Reese told everything to the woman who was in tears after hearing everything and was happy to see the honesty of these young ones. It was time to meet the woman.
Setting A Meeting
Reese told the woman that there is no need for her to come to visit them and it will their pleasure to meet her and they will come to her. They set up the meeting and all three of them visited the woman who never thought that she will get all her money back. They didn’t take s single penny from the amount.
Returning The Money
They met the woman who seemed really happy about the meeting and just as they thought, it was her life savings which they discovered inside a $20 couch. W can always earn money but earning something like this is not easy and the good deed which they did make their life’s journey a beautiful one.
