“I didn’t believe him when I got here,” his niece said. “I thought he was confused, maybe from pain meds.”
Mickle said. “I thought he was confused, maybe from pain meds. And then the staff came into the room and they were saying congratulations. And I was like, ‘Wow, he really did win.’” So finally they had to believe that the old man did manage to win the lottery and they were delighted for him and wished him a speedy recovery.
Outcomes
Everyone danced with joy and Earl was extremely happy to see his family like this. Finally, his experimental venture did come out to be really fruitful and made him rich which he couldn’t still believe. His family and Earl too were happy with the outcome of the “accident” but were sad too that the happiness had come on the cost of his health. But there’s a saying “All’s well that ends well”. Was this the perfect ending?
Photo With The Winner
The hospital staff was too jumping with joy as they had never thought that their little efforts would bring such a big smile on Earl’s face. The supervisor of Earl, Kristine Trotter who had given this idea in the first place, thought of taking a photo together to make this incident more memorable. So the hospital staff took their photo with Earl holding the winning ticket. How nice of her!
Another Photo
The other staff was too excited and wanted to make the event even more memorable and expressed their desire to get another picture with the whole staff. Earl had never thought he would get such a joyful treatment while they all posed for the giant photograph. But there was another concern that they needed to acknowledge.
The Hip
With the big news and cash, there was something else that needed the staff’s immediate attention and that was Earl’s hip. Though he had won an insane amount of money, the staff and Earl knew that wasn’t going to heal his hip. When his results came out after his treatment, he knew his hip might take more time to recover than he was expecting.
Replacing The Hip
After lots of tests and medications, the staff came to know that Earl would require a Hip Replacement procedure to recover faster without a lot of pain. Earl was afraid of the thought of getting into an operation theatre initially but they had placed such trust that he knew everything was going to fine soon. Was it really true?
