Gabby Douglas is definitely one of the most successful gymnasts in America. She has won two Olympic gold medals. She took part in both the 2012 London Olympics and the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics. Gabby is also the first African American in Olympic history to win the individual all-around gold medal. She has a whopping 13 medals on her shelf including the 2016 AT&T American Cup all-around champion. Gabby received the title of the Female Athlete of the Year by Associated Press in 2012.

Gabby Douglas published an autobiography called Grace, Gold, and Glory: My Leap of Faith in 2012 that was on the 4th spot on the The New York Times Young Adult Bestseller List. She joined Nicki Minaj and Alicia Keys in their music video for Girl on Fire Inferno remix. A Lifetime film called The Gabby Douglas Story came out in 2014 as well as a reality television series called the Douglas Family Gold.
McKayla Maroney – Then
McKayla Maroney found fame due to her stunning performance during the 2012 Summer Olympics which was in London, United Kingdom. There was high hope that the American squad would get to win gold overall.
