Fully Deserving

“I’ve said all along that these lottery winnings could not have gone to a better couple. They are giving back to the community, just like they said they would.” Boydston revealed to Huff post. The Hills also donated to their high school.

Back To High School

The couple both are graduated from Dearborn’s North Platte High School. And after hitting the jackpot they did not forget to help their school. They gave some of their money to the school’s scholarship fund. Their goodwill won them people’s admiration. But what was Mark’s mother opinion about it?

The Heart Of A Mother

Shirley the mother of Mark opined “I’m real proud of them. They have stayed grounded. That’s their nature.” She was very happy with the decision made by her son. She had heard about many people who having won the lottery used to splurge all their money on their own self. But her son clearly, chose to follow a different path.

Paying Respect

The community was deeply touched by the actions of the family. So they also decided to honor them in return. On July 16, 2016, the Camden Point Fire Department officially devoted its new facility to Mark and Cindy. The president of Camden Point Fire Protection District board,  Steve Folck said to KCTV  “He’s very private and he doesn’t like to make a lot of splash about things,”.

Knowing No Limits

“But he’s done things for the city of Camden Point, for North Platte High School, and it’s ongoing, I mean his generosity just knows no bounds. It’s just an amazing family.” Flock pointed out.
