Air Vents Needed
As the project was slowly finishing up, Wayne had an installation of two 12-inch air vents at the front and back end of the container. This was a necessity for this project because it would give the interior fresh air that it needs. Wayne also installed PVC pipe for the eventual installation of utilities. Wayne was indeed very well prepared for any kind of potential problems…
Need For Reinforcements
After dealing with all the basics that were needed for this project, Wayne could now pour in the concrete to fill in all of the gaps. He made use of a six-inch layer of concrete to reinforce the corrugated metal roofing, and also the rebar around the entryway. It appears as though Wayne clearly wanted this underground structure to pass the test of time.
Safety Is Key
After the layers of concrete became dry, Wayne could now add more cinder blocks around the entrance. He did not want any cutting corners when it came to reinforcements. He was also particularly specific about the structure’s safety. Wayne had put a lot of thought and hard work into this project and so to see that it was finally about to be done must have been heartwarming for him.
Having A View
Wayne then finally took off the temporary supports underneath the concrete and metal sheeting. He did so that he could test the structural integrity. You can tell from this photo that the progress being made was clearly something to be proud of. If you think about it, a few days ago, this view was just a huge hole in the ground that confused everyone who saw it.
Oh, A Bunker!
From all the photos and information, we can pretty much guess that you already know this was an underground bunker. Wayne was able to build his very own underground bunker! Wayne clearly did not waste any time in filling it with wine and liquor. You might have assumed that this would be another disaster shelter but Wayne actually made a wine cellar out of it too… And there’s more…
Wine And Dine
If you want another photo of the interiors of this underground bunker, take a look at this photo. Even though right now this place is used as a means to store items, it would certainly be a very helpful as an escape from a natural disaster or a nuclear attack. Since space is also filled with alcohol, it might not be such a bad idea to get stuck down here too… Don’t you agree?
