Mike Was Okay
The father expressed his thankfulness for God that his son was able to get out from the car “just as the car was a complete ball of fire.” But regarding the race, it was already clear that Mike was not going to win. Dean was bummed out that his son was unable to nab the trophy but was proud of what a passionate and skilled driver he was. He had this to say about Mike…
A Man Of Passion
On the topic of his son Mike, Dean went on to explain about what kind of a person his beloved son really is. He also wrote on his Facebook that his boy was a lover racing and even extended his gratitude to the people that responded to the horrific event. He asked everyone to “continue to pray for Mike because his body took a tremendous impact tonight.”
Every Seconds Count
And so the brave father ended his post on Facebook with an, “I love you Mike.” The audience had taken every detail of the collision and fire. The video of the crash is a reminder of how every little second on a race track can lead to a massive destruction. In just a matter of a few seconds, a small insignificant accident can lead to something that people lose their lives over.
Extremely Fast Speed
And since Dean did not panic and worked well under pressure, he was, fortunately, able to help his son from what could have been a fatal accident. Dean’s bravery and efficiency were able to turn everything into a happy ending. And there was still more for Dean on the topic of great news… The father’s heroic action had somehow taught the NASCAR people to be aware of their faults.
Awesome News!
Dean Jones had to be kept on probation at the track for the whole of this year. “Mr. Jones will not be fined nor suspended,” South Boston Speedway had revealed in a statement that they released. CBSSports.com also informed that the courageous crew captain Dean will not have his license revoked not given a suspension even though he clearly violated the rules.
