The day was a regular one. As always the sun was blazing high in the sky but the constant flowing winds had neutralized its heat. The birds were flocking in the sky above the fishermen who were off to their work like any other day. The coastguards were on their duty. Everything seemed normal till a peculiar sight surfaced. Surprisingly, it did not look like a ship or a boat. The suspicious object was floating on the water off the Irish coast. Well, by the movements of the object it seemed that no one was controlling it. It was difficult for everyone to figure out what exactly the object was. Those who spotted the object decided to report it to the authorities. Perhaps, the unidentified object was a security breach.
Taken For Investigation
As there was no trace of the owner and the boat was devoid of any evidence revealing a thing about the owner, the authority decided to keep the boat in their custody after having it back on the land. Along with that they also started the investigation. But there was no headway. How were they going to begin the investigation? Getting the boat back on the land was a difficult task for the team. As the boat had different designs and working methods, the team was not sure how to steer this queering thing back to the shore. Somehow with the help of their own boat, they brought it on the land. Thereafter, they searched the whole boat once again looking for any evidence.
The Other Side
They found a note inside the boat. The message written on it came up to be of great help. It was perhaps built by Rick Small because that was the name the message read. But the person wasn’t a local. In fact, he came from a different continent. To be precise, he belonged to Thunder Bay, Ontario and was renowned for his unconventional inventions and lifestyle.
Solar Panels
Now the team knew where to head to. They did research about the Rick Small. And they found out that he is an environmentalist and supports alternate energy resources, like solar energy. He also builds bicycles and other vehicles that run on solar energy. On the other hand, the officers found out an article about the man. The article stated that Small had been contemplating on making a solar-powered boat. He had a dream of sailing on that boat too. But the boat that the coastguards found had no one on it.
Going Beyond
His plans were not limited to voyage along the Canadian coastline only. He had planned to cover the Atlantic in order to test his solar-powered boat. He was so absorbed by his ambition and had everything planned in his mind.
