Something Was Definitely Wrong
Even though she did all that she could in her power to make sure she was fit and active, all her efforts were going down the drain. Yasmin was feeling a lot worse as time went by. She reveals the strange way her body was reacting, “Where I used to go to the gym five times a week, my health was just getting worse and worse.” Something was certainly wrong with her.
A Scared Mother
As per her doctors’ orders, Yasmin was focusing on getting her rest. And although Yasmin avoided her exercise still she did not stop losing her weight. She was also losing her appetite and was increasing looking paler. She was not feeling well at all, in fact, she soon felt miserable. To see her health deteriorate like this, her mother was feeling helpless and scared.
Yet Another Scare
Yasmin grew increasingly weary to the point where she knew she had to take measures once more. “My symptoms developed gradually, but in the last few months leading up to my diagnosis, it was just getting worse and worse. My mum said she was scared she would lose me,” she confessed. Then, Yasmin’s health took another very scary turn.
Emergency Room Visits
When Yasmin consulted the doctors once again, the symptoms did not fade, so she had to come in rather frequently. She made so many rounds to the A&E (accident and emergency) at Tenterden) that the nurses and doctors knew Yasmin, her family, and even her friends rather well. They had run several tests on her but sadly, there was no clear conclusion on what was causing her to act this way.
Mom Disagrees
For her daughter to be going through such a struggle, it was right for Yasmin’s mother to try and take a little control. Her mom was disagreeing with the doctors and she pushed for every test they could run on Yasmin to get to the bottom of the everything. Her condition was not improving so she was in a hurry. A majority of the tests seemed fine but they finally got some news…
Finally A Diagnosis
Since there was no actual diagnosis yet, Yasmin was called “hypochondriac” by many and the repeated doctor visits seemed futile. But at last, Yasmin was finally given the diagnosis of idiopathic pulmonary arterial hypertension. This came only after several tests were conducted on her. Her mother was glad to know that she was finally given a proper diagnosis and could not work towards curing her.
